How to see detailed video analytics on YouTube?

When you first start using YouTube to upload and promote videos, you may wonder who is watching them and how you may generate more views and engagement. This is where YouTube Analytics comes in.

Upon starting a YouTube channel, you need to know your target audience and how they interact with your videos. YouTube Analytics is intended to tell you a lot about your viewers, what they like, and what kinds of videos you should make to succeed.

How can I see YouTube Analytics?

The Analytics section of YouTube Studio is your one-stop destination for all things YouTube Analytics. To get there, take the following steps:

  1. Visit youtube.com
  2. Go to your YouTube account and sign in. Enter your email address and password in case you haven’t signed in before.
  3. Click on your Google Account’s profile picture, which displays on the top right corner of the screen, then click on “YouTube Studio” from the menu that appears. You should see the YouTube Studio navigation menu on your browser’s left side.
  4. From the navigation menu, select Analytics. You should navigate straight to the Overview tab by default.

How do I use Google Analytics for YouTube?

Google Analytics is a free website traffic tracking tool that works well with YouTube to track how people interact with your channel. That means you’ll have more valuable data to help you get more out of your video marketing initiatives.

You’ll need to do the following to link YouTube to Google Analytics:

Step 1: In Google Analytics, create a new property

The procedure is similar to setting up tracking for a personal website. To begin, go to your Google Analytics account and log in. Then, on the left side, click the “Admin” button, and then, in the “Property” column, select your website name from the dropdown menu. Finally, there’s an option that lets you add properties.

Here’s how the “Create New Property” page looks

Enter your YouTube channel name for the website to find it afterward. Next, put your channel URL in the website URL section (you can see this by navigating to your YouTube channel and copying the URL from the browser). When you’re finished, fill out the rest of the form and click “Get Tracking ID.”

On the following page, a unique tracking ID will be generated:

Step 2: Log into your YouTube account and enter your Analytics ID.

After that, log in to your YouTube account and go to your settings, which can be accessed by clicking on your channel icon at the top of the page. Next, click the “View additional features” option at the bottom of the account settings page:

Then, under Channel, click the “Advanced” button from that page:

You’ll find a space at the bottom of the page where you may input your Google Analytics tracking ID, which you set in the previous step:

Paste your tracking ID into this box and hit Save. You can now track data on visitors to your YouTube channel directly from your Analytics account.

The first step in using Google Analytics with your YouTube channel is to set it up. However, setting it up and then not utilizing it is pointless. The actual value is found in the metrics that can be tracked and measured.

How can I find YouTube analytics on mobile?

YouTube is available on both your desktop and mobile devices. On your mobile device, this section will show you how to access YouTube Analytics for easy access when you’re on the go.

How to make use of the YT Analytics on a mobile device:

  • Go to YouTube’s app.
  • Select YouTube Studio from the profile icon.
  • Please log in to your YouTube Studio account.
  • Select View More from the Analytics menu.

YouTube Analytics will assist you in determining which types of videos to concentrate on. For example, How-Tos, motivational, funny, or DIY Videos may attract a larger audience. Be guided by which videos your audience like and put something in place that they will remember.

How often does YouTube analytics update data?

YouTube analytics update data regularly, usually every few hours. This means you can expect new insights and information about your channel and its performance daily. You can use this data to help you make decisions about your content strategy, audience engagement, and overall success on the platform. In addition to updating regularly, YouTube analytics is highly accurate, so you can trust that the data you’re seeing reflects your channel’s true reach and impact. If you’re looking for detailed information about your YouTube channel, there’s no better resource than YouTube Analytics.
